Transitions
- Now we are going to add transtions to our slideshow to make it run smoothly. Open your PP.
- Click on your first slide and click on "Slide Show" on the top tool bar. Select "Slide Transition."
- At this point you must make the decision if you want all of your non-jeopardy and non-song slides to run automatically or manually (by clicking). I am going to give direction under the assumption that all of our non-jeopardy and non-song slides should run autmatically. On the righthand side there is a section for "Advance Slide." Leave "On mouse click" checked, but also check the box by "Automatically after."
- Choose how long you want to let the title slide show I think 5-10 seconds is appropriate for the first slide.
- Do not click "Apply to all slides" because we want to set different times for the slides based on the amount of content on each one. Look up at the top where it says "Apply to selected slides." These are effects that you can add to the transition. Click on one of them.
- Click "Play" at the bottom and you can see what your slide's transition will look like.
- Do steps 2-6 for each non-song and non-jeopardy slide.
- Click on your slide for anthem and music and click on "Slide Show" on the top tool bar. Select "Slide Transition."
- Do steps 3.
- Now you will choose how long the slide should go. I would take the length of the song and add 5 seconds to it and then put that down as the amount of time i would choose.
- On the lefthand side of the page you should see all of the slides in order. Left click and hold on the bibliography slide and drag so that it follows the 1st Jeopardy slide, not the "Question 1" slide, but the slide that say's jeopardy.
- Now click on the Jeopardy title slide and highlight the line "Question 1" by left-clicking dragging accross the text.
- Right click on what you just highlighted and select "Hyperlink."
- A hyperlink menu will pop up. Click on "Place in this document."
- Click on the slide title for question 1.
- Click "Ok."
- "Question 1" should be underlined now. Repeat steps 12-16 for questions 2 and 3.
- Click on the slide for question 1 and highlight all of the answer choices at once.
- Righ click on the highlighted answers and select "Hyperlink."
- Click on "Place in this document."
- Select the answer 1 slide that corresponds to question 1.
- Click "Ok."
- Repeat steps 18-22 for questions 2 and 3.
- Now we are going to add a button on each of our answer slides that takes us back to the Jeopardy title slide. Click on the answer 1 slide and click on "Slide Show."
- Select "Action Buttons" and select the first button for custom.
- The cursor will change to a cross, left-click and move the cursor to create a button on your PP. Don't worry about where it is on the slide right now. Let go of the mouse.
- Now you should see a menu pop-up. Click on "Hyperlink to."
- On the drop down menu select "Slide..."
- Select the "Jeopardy" title slide and click "Ok."
- Click "Ok."
- Right click on the button you just created select "Add text."
- Type "Jeopardy." and then click somewhere else on the slide.
- Drag the button to where you want it to be on the slide.
- Right click on the button and select "Copy."
- Go to the slide for answer 2 and right click on the slide and select "paste."
- Repeat step 35 for answer 3.
- Click "Save" and you are done for today.
